
In an era of market-based pressures and a blurring of the lines between nonprofit and for-profit sectors, strong opinions fall out on either side of this timely issue. People who work for nonprofits are held in high regard by the public partly because they've chosen to make sacrifices in order to work for the public good. When that trust is broken through malfeasance or other crimes, the entire sector suffers. Does that mean nonprofit staff should be held to a higher standard?
