Last week Assemblymember Luz Rivas sent a letter to the Governor and legislative leaders – based on the CalNonprofits letter – seeking actions supporting nonprofits with government contracts, nonprofit employers and employees, and new funding. Twenty-nine members of the Assembly have now signed onto this letter.
If your state assemblymember signed Assemblymember Rivas’ letter, please call them (leave a message) and thank them. If you can, tell them how your community has been affected and how state action on the recommendations will help your organization and community.
If your assemblymember did not sign Assemblymember Rivas’ letter, please call them (leave a message) and ask them to urge either Assembly Minority Leader Marie Waldron (for Republicans) or Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (for Democrats) to take action on the recommendations.
